Here's lookin at you, Georgia.

Georgia's generous tax incentives entice movie makers to journey cross-country to our neck of the woods, set up shop and take over our streets. I haven't heard many complaints.

I've certainly taken advantage of these impromptu income opportunities running from zombies and traveling back in time on the set of Zombieland and My Lost Valentine. I've also had the whimsy pleasure of standing in for a 12-year-old and running lines with Joey Lawrence on the ABC family movie, My Fake Fiance, directed by Gil Junger. Like, Whoa. I delight in watching the local film folks tango with Hollywood in a frenetic creative dance. All the creatives are coming together here in Atlanta. New studios like Screen Gems cropping up will boost this city's economy, job market and garner some awesome exposure for businesses that are featured in a film. Who's on board? This is exciting stuff. Check me out with Governor Sonny Perdue at the Capitol on the set of My Lost Valentine starring Betty White. I was a USO girl handing out apples and selling war bonds to soldiers. Sexy right?

Thai Memories.

I went to a handful of Job 2 Do shows when I lived in Phuket.  This was one of his more popular songs.  It NEVER got old.  His shows were almost always on the beach.

Alice in Wonderland

No, not the movie. Alice Walker. She is coming to GSU next week. I thought about her every time I drove through Eatonton, Ga. on my way to Milledgeville.
