Life throws some ridiculous curve balls that get in the way of incisiveness, so after years of vacillating, I made the leap and went back to school. Cheers to me.
This time last year I was planning a three week stay in Park City, Utah over my Christmas break. A friend of mine had recently moved there, and she needed some help babysitting her two-year old. So much has changed in just 12 months. Thanksgiving has come and gone, and I had another birthday on Tuesday.
This year I am planning a trip to Edinburgh to visit my friend Vicki, a girl I met in Thailand in 2008. She was teaching in Phuket, and like me, decided she needed to return home and finish Uni. I am looking forward to this respite. I’ve never been to Scotland, but I am sure I will dig eating, walking and drinking pints with Vicki.
A flight attendant friend of mine is hooking me up with a buddy pass. Unfortunately, Delta no longer flies to EDI, so I will have to stop off in Dublin. I am considering staying a night there if I cannot arrange a connection the day I arrive.I bought a camera last week for my trip, nothing too fancy. I am saving for a really nice camera and looking forward to picking up photography again. I used to play around with film. I like the idea of being in control of documenting things the way I see them. I think I let other people see things for me far too often, so in other words, be on the lookout for some snapshots from Scotland.
That’s all for now.
